Being healthy during COVID-19

With all of our lives being disrupted from normalcy due to the coronavirus, it gives us all a moment to reflect on our lives. Our society is a “go-go” environment, never truly being around. We have programmed ourselves to always keep pushing and pushing to get the next best thing. While this is a great mentality, it has caused many of us to suffer health issues due to the increased stress and poor habits.

With the pandemic of the coronavirus, it brings up many points. One that we all need to better our hygiene, cough etiquette and to remember that if we don’t feel well, that’s our body’s way of communicating that we need to take a break, i.e. stay home. Secondly, that our health prior to becoming exposed to this novel virus plays an important role in the end result after being exposed.  Not to say healthy individuals are immune but if your body is otherwise healthy your body is able to fight whatever it comes in contact with. As a registered nurse, I have seen my fair share of unhealthiness, I am guilty of it myself. We are all just humans and when we get complacent we tend to fall into poor health habits.

I am a firm believer in “you are what you eat.” With that being said and the limitation of being able to acquire sufficient produces, I have stumbled upon a great alternative; Organifi Green. It is loaded with so many nutritional benefits that will enhance immunity, detox, and metabolism support. “55 percent of Americans are overstressed and this reduces our T cells, which weakens our immune system. It opens us up to risks of viruses and bacteria” (www.oranifishop.com).

Stress is a major component to decreasing immunity. During uncertain times such as now, all of us are experiencing. While we all take precautions such as social distancing, proper hand washing, and proper cough etiquette, we should all be taking the precautions internally as well. Organifi Green is a quick , tasty way to boost immunity, detox and support metabolic function. It is filled with “morniga (immune boost), chlorella (immune boost), mint (metabolic support), spirulina (protein, calcium, iron), beets (folate, magnese), matcha green tea (stress reducer/immune support), wheatgrass, ashwaganda (stress modulate/immune support), turmeric (anti-inflammatory/immune protector), lemon (appetite fighter), coconut water (potassium, transporter for all these nutrients into blood)” (www.organifishop.com)

Another important factor in maintaining healthy during the COVID-19 “quarantine” is to stay active. With spring upon us, it is a perfect time to get “up and out.” Take a walk, take a break enjoy Mother Nature, all while maintaining social distancing.

This is the perfect time to work on YOU. It can totally be overwhelming, but I am here for you (purelykatehealth@gmail.com). Let’s unite and work together to kick this virus’ butt and get healthy.
